I hate the look of that celica, but I have seen these on the road here and there. I was wondering what they do to their axles to achieve this orientation on their wheels and does it degrade their driveline at all? No offense to others, but I wish I could hit these vehicles and get them off the road as their look disturbs me.

This is just like the Porsche forum, Rennlist, I'm on for my 964. We hate slammed cars, stretched wheels, and oversized rims on our Porsches. The keep it real, if it's not broke don't fix it philosophy.

I was gonna ask what you guys thought of this huge rim trend I'm seeing on truck. Can't get my mind around getting a truck and then putting what is essentially car wheels on it.

I'm an old guy, so don't hate me if you do. I'm grumpy and hate change haha!

Those rims always have shiny tires. No dirt stains. And have to make 7 point turns in the mall parking lots.

Let's be real here. Anyone running stretched tires on a Tacoma isn't going to be going off-road anytime soon.

Lived just outside Tokyo (Kamitsuruma, Sagamihara-Shi, Kanagawa-Ken to be exact) for three years.

Akihabara is the anime nerd's dream. Also a good place to grab some cheap electronic tidbits. Or visit the 7-story adult store. (Exit akihabara station at the electronics market gate, turn right, walk and cross the main road. It's on the corner... can't miss it.)

It's sad that the cosplay kids no longer occupy Harajuku, but go there anyway the Meji Shrine is something to behold.

Hands down, the best overseas living experience of my life. I wax nastalgic anytime someone I know is heading over... and I can't wait for my kids to be of solid memory building years so we can show them the places we loved.

Skinny tall tires have a purpose on a 4x4, like it or not. This crap is just, well, crap. Those who engage should be subject to, and fully expect, public mockery.

Or not. Tall skinny can be very functional. Optimal actually in some situations.

Stretched tires are the level lift of rubber. 0 functional benefit.

Only good for looks in the eye of some non functional beholder.

Not that there is anything wrong with looks. Just don't pretend you do it for function.
