    I have to agree for a different reason. I work in the building trades industry and you always get that moron that will put one in a door hinge usually a #10 in a tapered hole that's designed to accept a#8 and then can't figure out why the door hinge binds. But back to the problem I think the extractors might be a better route, not much of slot guy I get it to work about 50/50.

    As others have recommended. Angle grinder mid way through the screw head. Get yourself a larger/wider flat head that covers most the width of the screw head. I tried with a normal sized flat head screw driver and it seemed to slip and chip away at the cut so a larger/wider flat head screw driver worked to get it out.

    That seemed to work for me. I had to buy everything at harbor freight.

    PB Blaster is a total waste of time. When something is rust welded, no liquid will get through.

    Worst case if you can't slot and turn them is to drill them out. I had that happen with a license plate bolt. Drilled it out then tapped the hole. The good thing is that the bolts drill very easy.

    If you want to get somebody's attention, it's a lot easier to put a @ in front of their username like this:
    @Fletcher37

    Or you could just quote their post, either way should send them an alert.

    this is absolutely amazing to me. in 1 picture you've done more with a single extractor than i've ever done with dozens of them!

    @Yota_MGM I used a small drill bit to take off the bolt’s head. Then I removed the other bolts holding the rail in. Removed the rail and then connected my bolt extractor to the nub of bolt sticking out.
    I didn’t use a Grabit. I used something liked the Ares bolt removed shown in the “products discussed” box below.

    Yes, an angle grinder is the tool. I can tell you have not had to deal with many stuck fasteners. Impact<cut slot and use flat head<weld on nut. You should probably listen more, there was correct advice given here.
