STRIPPED DRAIN PLUG!!

    That's rediculous.

    $360 to pull some bolts out, grab the new pan, and reinstall said bolts. They will probably charge you for t-fluid on top of the $560, and they are only required to get within 75% of that quote.

    Do what the other posters are saying, if possible, pull the pan and retap for another plug, or get the piggyback plug kit. That is if the dealership has not already spent your money. even taking it to a machine shop to have the new plug installed will be alot cheaper than $560.

    I just went ahead and told them to do it. I havent paid them yet and I'm trying to find the time to do it. college and working takes up most of my time and that's the only reason the dealership has it. I think it's pretty damn outrageous though

    an oversized drain plug from an auto parts store might work.....under $5.00
