seems to be working out well, tapped both up to 20mm. the drain plug is solid. fill plug seems to leak very slightly though. im using the cheap o ring that came with the bolt at the shop, not sure what material it is. any reccomendations? plumbers tape on the threads? rubber o ring? crush washer?

I’d try to find a 20mm fibre washer or soft aluminum crush washer.

A little dab of silicone sealer on the threads near the head will seal it right up. I like the import grey stuff.

I guess you either didn't read or chose not to heed my advise to spend $1 or so for a small package of the oil drain plug thread sealer they sell at Advance, AutoZone, etc.

    I'll tell you again.

    It works.

Now that's just plain irony right there.
