    Guess so.

    For my truck I used the heat gun + vinyl approach like on post #7 from JWILL10. Pretty happy with the result.

    I was doing my headlights, not the grill. But yes, I took everything apart. You definiately DON'T want to get oven cleaner on anything else. That stuff is very corrosive and will F'up your paint.
