Do you buy their frozen mac n cheese? Yuck.

Anyway, I don't drink coffee very often, if I do it's either free with a breakfast order if I eat out, or I make it at home. It's much cheaper per ounce to make a pot at home. I can't believe you would go and spend money on a "boutique" coffee when you could get just as good of a cup at the Walmart cafe, since you're going there anyway. I mean anyone who would spend money on a decent cup of coffee has to be a complete idiot right? Especially when you can get coffee at walmart that does the same job for less...idk maybe I'm out of line @ace96 ?

Thats why I buy on specials because the free shipping is lower. Most of those orders were just over $100. Which doesn’t take much to get there when you buy a gallons or a coating.

I splurge on 1 cup of boutique coffee at PANERA and buy my detail supplies at Walmart, I don't have to spend $100 at PANERA in order to get free shipping for car wax

I think it's just that they've got the best marketing so their name gets out there. Most people get into detailing when their car is new and it doesn't take much to clean them up and keep them shiny, which any product would do. When I first joined TW (as others join their cars forum) and looked in here Chemical Guys was recommended by many. What I've found since I've tried other brands is that their products and possibly this is true for others is it's like their product is watered down compared to others. Or the results that looked great on wash day, didn't hold up. I honestly couldn't give a fuck if they have the douchiest marketing I would still use the stuff if it was great, but it isn't.

Not urging you in the slightest on what to buy or where, I think we're just throwing out there our experience for others. Not even necessarily you or others that respond either, many people are going to read this without even signing up to post. Not trying to push Autogeek which is also Autopia by the way but they each do sales at different times. Hell their site is antiquated as fuck and needs to be updated but when shit is on sale for up to 25% off and free shipping, it's hard to find a better deal elsewhere.

All good brands, and reasonably priced especially on sale and by the gallon
    Carpro
    McKee's 37
    Meguiar's (detailing line)
    Sonax
    Autogeek brands: Wolfgang, Blackfire, Pinnacle
    Griot's
    3D
    Optimum

Yeah chemical guys seems to be turning to mostly overhyped junk. I do like their maxisuds2 soap, but probably won't buy it again when my gallon runs out. There is just way too much good stuff available to even consider CG IMO

    Okay, you're right.
Back on topic... I'll refer back to my first post about a good tire cleaner. I still have not found anything better than shine supply wise guy. It has to be safer to use than gas or paint thinner too. You can dilute it way down for varying degrees of tire filth

I got sucked into forum hype and decided I needed to try them. I've been overly disappointed. I'll stick to Mothers or Meguiars for most things, as I like them. Good balance of quality, availability, cost, consistency, etc.

We are WAY off topic though. I'll ask that we not post any more unless it has something to do with removing tire shine.

Edit: thanks @jhodge83 . Beat me to it.

Simple green diluted or full strength works very good for me on tires, and i use it on my steel rims, Simple green is also Enviromentally friendly

McKees 37 is one product I have overlooked and not tried yet but would try. I have had suj good luck with Carpro, optimum, griots, megs, that I have started stop venturing out, except a few recent shine supply products which I love.
Anything in particular stand out to you from Mckees? I hear nothing but good things, tbey don't get mentioned a lot but when it does get brought up, it's all good stuff.

No shit! Figure some grown ass adults could find something better to do with their time and lives than bicker about car detailing products on an online forum.

Shine supply wise guy is really good.
Members at tundras.com get 10% off there. Code can be found in the detailing subforum there, wink wink.

For a test, I used full strength simple green, then purple power on my tires. Then hit them with wise guy and the brown tire bloom was just melting away. Simple green and purple power are great cleaners but this wise guy will blow your mind, especially when it comes to brown bloom. Heres a pic of the wise guy used AFTER sg and pp, on brand new falken wild peaks. That brown is not dirt these tires were spotless "clean" or so I thought. I use optimum tire coating so tires have to be super clean before applying it.

To stay on topic (fucking really, this site?) their Tire and Rubber Rejuvinator. Cleans the tires better than APC's i've tried and it was made for rubber.
Tire Gloss, on par with other water based dressings, might stay longer than PERL, but I've not tested it.
Hydro Blue works as good as Hydro2 but can work in the sun.
Glass Coating so far as good as Aquapel, easy to re-apply if it doesn't last as long and came with enough for plenty of glass

I've tried some other things by them, nothing to compare against but would buy again. Some categories it's just a matter of buying this one over that one as the results will be too similar. If you were stuck in one brand only I could see them being worthy of all categories. One issue with that is every bottle from them looks the same except for the product name on the label.

brown crud is rolling off. Appreciate the info. I have seen the other products recommended but was concerned about them drying out the rubber. No need now since they don’t work.

I don't think it was asked or stated....what kind of tire shine is this? All these posts, some or most very ridiculous ones by myself, sorry, and I don't think we even know what product you're trying to remove.
