i do install on fed vehicles and a set of strobes in the clear sections will blow away white leds day or night. that they use less power heck yes but visibility is just not there for white leds during the day. if you have the strobes install them and yes do leds everywhere else.

Good luck getting them in the headlights or fog lights on the new tacomas. The headlights have already been discussed in this thread and the fog lights are round so good luck getting a seal on those. The rears might not be so much a pain in the ass, but forget the front.

i have code-3 led in my reverse but never got around to do the front. i know i can get them in the fogs and seal with no prob. the headlight is tricky and can be done with a strobe, unsure about the shorter leds. youtube tacoma strobes or tacoma vertex and there are a few videos with them in the headlights.

Do what ya want. I'd much rather put a strobe hole through a flat surface and make sure I get a good seal. I personally like to do the job once and not have to worry about anything leaking or allowing moisture in. You may have a trick to getting them into curved areas that I don't know of. I've just always felt safe putting them on flat surfaces. I'm the kind of guy that likes a little reassurance lol. BTW I love the fact my truck doesn't have to run to run all my lights for a loooonnng time :D

Well guys now that I had completely forgotten about this thread i'll give ya'll a little update. I got my strobes in. Mounted them in the brake and reverse in the tails and in the headlights up front. Thought the front was gonna be bad but it wasn't. I found a spot where the 2 layers of plastic were close together and put em in there....Used the pop in style bulbs as opposed to the screw base bulbs because of the longer stem and it looks pretty darn good imo. Orderin my Whelen TIR3s for the grille and even got a TIR6 to go in the scoop lol. Thinkin im gonna look like Kit off Night Rider. But thanks guys for all your input.....Wow this is a long post.

Man this sucks! My camera wont capture the strobes. They're too fast or something. I'll post up pics when I get my LED's though
