As the title states.....ive read alot about the springs people are choosing..Dakars, deaver, alcan, allpro... but havent seen anything where anyone speaks of which ones wrap the least.
Im not worried about ride quality, it is a truck. but in anyones opinion, which are the stiffest brand that i could get that will put this axle wrap deal behind me already. The dealer said they would replace my springs, but im just gonna go aftermarket heavy duty, so i dont end up with the same issue after they swap stocks... they agreed to change them based on my constant nagging

Any aftermarket spring will be stiffer and help prevent axle wrap. I have never noticed it with my Dakars but then I never noticed it with the stock leaf pack either.

well, ive got this annoying bumping feeling when i let on and off the throttle at highway speeds. it feels like its unloading and loading.... very annoying. i threw two sets of leaf spring helpers on, and it eliminated it 95%. id rather not bandaid it, but just get some nice stiff springs. i appreciate your comment, and im aware that aftermarket springs will stiffen things up, thats a given...... My question is which ones, by peoples experience, are the stiffest to their opinion. i know there are some people who have tried multiple brands or ride with people who have a variety of springs. Those answers would be greatly appreciated.

Get the 4 leaf packs from the dealer for free then sell those to me when you go with an aftermarket set.

There is acutally a TSB for the axle wrap or thud/clunk noise. The TSB calls for replacement of the drive shaft to an upgraded drive shaft. I took my Taco into the dealership for the thud/clunk noise in the rear or axle wrap as it is so called. They ended up replacing my entire drive shaft and I no longer experience any thud when letting of the brake and accelerating. I have wanted to replace my rear leaf springs or add a leaf spring helper, but it looks like replacement of the drive shaft has fixed it. Hope this helps.
Here is a link to the list of TSB from another TW member:

I thought about that...what traction bars are some using. I know ladder bars are better for wrap.
And as for the TSB... i have a 2014 4wd trd... the TSB only goes to 2012 2wd

Also... i appreciate all of the comments, really quick and helpful...

But my question is about the stiffness of the said aftermarket springs. i heard of people talking about some flexing and whatnot... im looking to get some info on the stiffest ones in peoples opinion that would resist the wrapping issues the stocks have. The only thing close i hear are the dakars ride stiff.... so again, in anyones opinion. which would be the stiffest out of the bunch to resist the wrap. Thank you.

The stiffest are probably the AllPro expedition. I had a set of AllPro Standard and Deaver and didn't had any problem with axel wrap.

If you're stuck between Dakars and expos, like I was, look at the uses for your truck. They both are GREAT for towing, but if you will be hitting the trails and flexing more than towing, go with the Expos. If not, Dakars.

Are you planning on lifting the front as well? Truck will look mighty strange if you throw either of those on without lifting the front as well. Dakars will lift the rear about 2.5".

Im most worried about preventing the twisting of the leafs. I put a gopro under my truck and i can see the pinion going dramatically up or down when on and off the gas. After installing two sets of leaf spring helpers on both the front and back of the spring... the clunking or bumping feeling is 95% gone.....

So it sounds like the Dakars are the stiffest of the group. Im not doing any rock crawling, and dont mind a stiff ride on the trail...

seriously... unless you have 500lbs constantly in the bed of your truck... dont go with the dakars.... buddies DCSB rides so stiff with the dakars... stiffer than my old 1 ton chevy... and the chevy was bone jarring.

I love Dakars too, especially when I'm hauling a bulging bed load of mulch and no flex! :D

Ops still hasn't said if he was wanting to lift his truck though. If not, then neither set will work. He'll need some Wheelers HD packs or something that does not provide much lift.

sounds like the dakars are mighty stiff.... im fine with the stiff ride. these double leaf helpers i put on have made it "bone jarring" stiff as it is. i'll go with them and hope for the best!

I dont mind a little raise in the back. the double set of helpers raised the dang thing by almost two inches already and its a little higher in the back. that will only level things out when i haul or tow.

If it ends up looking that stupid, i'll level it up front. no biggie. just time and a few more bucks.
