So I got my OME kit in and due to a lack of time, let someone else install it. Now I have a trim packer on the passenger side and am not sure the struts are supposed to be installed the way he did them. See the pic below. Am I wrong or should the nuts that are in between the housing and the strut not be there?

I believe it should look like this.

The nuts between the frame bucket and the strut should not be there. This can break the bucket over time as all the weight of the truck is concentrated over three nuts rather than the whole surface of the strut top plate.

Is the trim packer on both sides or just on the passenger side? Usually the trim packer should go on the driver's side to compensate for the "Taco lean".
