yeah, I did mine with the treaded rods and hooks, ( Harbor Freight compressor ) It was pretty nerve wracking, as things got compressed I started holding stuff at arms length. working on the tail gate of the truck didn't make it any less crazy. ( I had new top plates to go with the springs and struts, so I put it all together a few days ahead of install )

My bad...he is correct. I didn't look closely enough at the pic to realize it was a prerunner. Just went off what I had to do on mine.

OP, I used those same compressors from AZ to install and remove OME 885 coils as well as remove and install the stock coils. They will work but can be dicey at times. Do the best you can to get them parallel to one another across the coil before putting them under load. Just take your time.

GREASE THE THREADS ahead of the block, makes it a lot easier to turn the bolt and not gall the threads.

tighten a few rounds each side at a time

No impact? Get ready for a workout man. Try to do both sides evenly. You're not in Houston, are you?

Good luck! Let us know if you get hung up on anything else. And make sure you get the spring cup on the billy's on the right way so you don't have to do it twice! You shouldn't be able to see the c clip of the spring if the cup is on right.

you dont need to use spring compressors or any fancy tools, you do not need to press out any ball joints etc etc.... do it this way its much safer and MUCH easier.

Just make sure to put the truck at ride height before torquing down the LCA to Frame bolts.
