I just had a 2 1/2 strut spacer installed on my Tacoma It seems like the truck is hopping when I hit medium-to-large bumps in the road Is this normal Anyone else have this problem with strut spacers

A top hat spacer or a preload spring spacer?

Preload spacers will cause a harsh ride and will bounce more for certain.

I think it would be considered a top hat The spring is not unloaded The strut is removed and spacer is placed on top

I have the same spacer lift on my truck and haven't noticed any ride change. I've installed probably hundreds of them on customers cars. They don't really change much spring wise, you just lose a bit of geometry.

Spacers lifts will definitely make ride harsher from everything I've ever seen or read
