Strut turning

    2005 Tan Tacoma Base 5 LUG: Beaten , abused and still running strong.
    Fat Bobs 2.75 lift and level with short AAL, 16x8 Level 8 Guardian Wheels, 245/75R16 Toyo Open Country ATII, custom trans shift kit(home made), Trans temp. and Vac gauge, URD fuel pump upgrade(going back to stock soon).
    Does a spring compressor need to be used to turn the struts 120 degrees for the fat bobs kit?

    I seem to vaguely remember that another 5 lugger owner here said he never used a spring compressor tool.

    fabtech 3" spindles, icon aal, 10" bilstein 7100 rear shocks, daystar coil spacers, AFE Pro Dry-s drop in filter, sony head unit, 2 12" pioneer subs, pioneer 6.5s all around, custom 1.25 lift shackles, custom lower ball joint brackets fabbed by me
    i havent heard of anyone needing a compressor because the spacer goes on top of the strut not the spring and you slightly turn it to line up with the holes on the bucket

    I understand that the spacer goes on top of the spring, but what I don't understand how to rotate the strut so I can remount the lower part to the control arm. I'm guessing the brake line can remount without a problem.
    Has anyone run into any brake lines being too short after the lift.

    use the compressor put the lift on and lets see some pics :D
