Stuck at autozone battery issues

So aim stuck at autozone waiting on my battery to get juice up . was driving on the freeway and all my lights dime down inside. truck started jerking verly made it . during the week i notice battery light will come on and off .

So is it my alternator or battery ?

Have them do a load test on the battery. That should tell you if its performing properly. If not, then it's time to take a look at your alternator.

 

They can check both your battery and alternator..

 

Yea they told me that dcsb . just need to juice up the battery to perform both test . and aim

Yea just got it back . truck turn on . they said battery is good . going to test alternator next

 

Hey Carlos. If your battery is weak, get it replaced if you can swing it. Had to replace mine this weekend and got an Optima but nothing sucks more than getting stranded. Hope your alternator is ok.

So they said is my alternator . i did the test u with the truck on and disconnect the negative cable an the truck turn off is this an accurate test ?

 

Diving home now just made it . all my lights are going out . this suckssss but i love this truck .

 

Sucks Carlos but at least you know the issue. Time to upgrade the battery and get a new alternator. Id recommend both. Nice truck BTW, love the color.

Sounds like you got to the bottom of it. Def sounds like the alternator, if the battery is "good". If the batteries Pretty old and you can swing it I would replace it also. Love it when it is a simple fix!

 

Yea i think i got it . battery is 2yrs old this month . any of u guys got the denso alternator ? is this a good option denso is japan made so i trust the name .

 

Should be good. Has a warranty through a local retailer if not.

Yea 2yrs warranty . thats why i got it but need to wait till tomorrow not in stock . i would replace it tonight but is koo . not cheep. btw

 

Alternators never are, but kinda important, so I guess it's only fair.
