When in doubt, swap em out. Thanks for clearing the thread. You could still do those tests(hot and cold) and then jot down on the visor receipt what the multi-tester read. It would give you a new part(s) baseline of sorts in case of issues down the road,,,with your new parts. Your new battery should top out on voltage pretty quick with a new alt,,,working properly.
