Hi all...new here and first post.

    OK here goes...

I am working on replacing a bunch of front end joints including the front half axels, but I have been unable to remove the axel nuts. The cotter pin and safety(?) nut are moved. Soaked in PB blaster all day. I have a breaker bar with a 7ft pipe on it and that nut will not move. I have never seen something like this. Its not like its all rusted up either and I'm torqueing counter clock wise. Any ideas?

Sorry I forgot that I heated the nut best I could with a MAP gas/O2 brazing torch. Almost got one part of it red hot.

Correct, propane does not get hot enough, map or O2 work great.

If you are just replacing the axles, buy new axle nuts to go along with the new shafts, and cut the nut off. If it's not moving with you yanking on it with a 7ft cheater, no amount of heat, impact gun, or lube will be the magic trick you need. Cut off the end of the shaft as close to the nut as possible, then split the nut in half on 2 sides of it with out touching the hub, then beat that nut off with a cold chisel. Good luck
