I compared the OEM needle bearing to the ECGS and put them up to the shaft for reference before I started driving in the ECGS. The ECGS is longer. Mine went in flush the surface showing and I called it good. So far no issues. Knock on wood.

My needle bearing actually broke just pulling my cv out. I was left with just the sleeve which wasnt enough for a puller and slide hammer to grab. Going to go buy an orbital cutter and try to remove it

Wasnt able to cut it. Going to spend some time with a puller and slide hammer tomorrow. Seems like the back edge is starting to curl out

Wow it doesn't seem like anybody else has seen this. Good lord that is tough. I never considered that could happen down the road when I installed mine. Best of luck to you.

@Gruber1922 can you recall how you cut yours and what kind of blade you used. I just need to cut the needle bearing sleeve out so in theory it should be easier (less material)

Wow you have some bad luck. Try a hacksaw blade by hand.

All good. Found my dad out there with a die bit on a drill. He cut a relief and I was able to slide hammer it out. Gonna spend some time flushing that metal out
