I was in a wash and the rain is due in a few hours. The War Wagon came close to getting stripped for parts.

I'm glad you got it safely back. There are some awesome people on TW.

The interior of mine got filled with sand by pranksters while stuck at Glamis. These places out here aren't what they were years ago. Theives and hoodlums are everywhere.

Good to hear. Was this the T4R guy on FB that was stuck in the semi-frozen lake bed thing? That post made the rounds yesterday, but I figured it would be some TW peeps that would get him out haha

I’m going to go ahead and say it was #sloppytaco + 3.

Shay really did himself in. Imagine the picture you posted, with a heavier truck, bigger mud puddle, and the closest we could get was 100’ away through the canyon. Plus it was midnight 30 when we got there.

It was not. Just saw a post on Vilmont though. Thinking it’s the same one?

    Long story short.

I received the call at 10:06. Was already asleep when the GF woke me up saying Shay wouldn’t call that late unless it was serious.

By then @eccracer104 had sent me a text asking if I was up for a recovery. We had wheels rolling around 11. Found Shay on the side of the road by 12:35 and hit dirt a mile or so after.

Not even a mile after we hit dirt I snagged a rock on the passenger side. Ran a flat on the rear for another mile before even realizing. Swapped onto the spare and continued on.

Recovery took 4 straps, a snatch block, two winches, and traction boards. Plus my tire.

Recovered the truck and hit pavement again right at 4AM. Now I get to go to work.

Holy crap! Good job guys. That’s awesome that you guys came together to help out a fellow TW member. PM me your paypal and I’ll pitch in $20 towards your tire.

That's awesome !!! , glad the truck was recovered and back on pavement

Canyon Sin Nombre trail is not the best place to be during inclement weather " rain"
