Stuck on Rear leaf options??

Im leaning towards the Allpro 3 leaf AAL or the Wheelers 3 leaf AAL for my rear lift. Ive read with both of those I can leave the overload leaf in. I only need about 1.5 inches in the rear for the tires im going with.

Do I leave the overload in and if I do will this make the ride too harsh? But if I leave it out will the 3 leaf pack wear out quicker?

Whats everyones thought about this? Im also looking at maybe a single AAL?

 

The overload will add another .5" so you're looking at 2" in the rear! The only time you'll notice it there is in a higher speed application where it compresses fast and when it hit's the overload it wont compress and feel similar to hitting the bump stops. Having it out will fatigue the springs faster especially if you do the above often and/or have weight in the bed. My 08 springs were crap after a year of having the 3 leaf without overload. They had about 40k miles on then but the stock leafs suck period. If you can't get a new pack then the aal is good but wouldn't expect more than a year or two out of them!

 

I got 2" from my wheelers 3 pk aal. I left the overload in and it rides great. Nice to see a smile again in the back. The tsb pk was sitting pretty flat after 50,000 miles. If I get 50,000 out of this setup, i'll be happy. Was worth the $179.00 and simple to install.
