Let my girlfriend drive  She did well going forward...but when my buddy got stuck and she tried to back up for a recovery...boy did it get hairy.

Then we had to pull out the straps and come a longs

We winched till finally my truck came loose and I was able to tug the runner through.

    Others from the day

She's actually pretty good at wheeling. I am not ballsy enough to let her take my shit through super off camber stuff. But for mediocre crawling she does well. She just cannot back up...not even on a paved road. It baffles me haha

    You have a GF ???.....:notsure:.....

    j/k:D

I think its a good idea that your wife/girl friend know how to negotiate trails somewhat just in case something should happen & the primary driver (you) isn't able to for whatever reason....;)

Drove the front end into a hole. The truck stayed afloat on the skids.

    You got it haha

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kxbPsRc9Tko&feature=youtu.be

I've been having problems with my gas filler tube having to take fuel very slowly or it backs up within a second or two for a months. Ends up taking me 20-30 minutes to fill up the take from empty. Finally got fed up and pulled the bed so I easy access to the tank and all the stuff on top of it. Figure I would play around a little while I had it off.

Turns out some douche had stuck a wrapper down the fill tube. Got that out and now it works like a charm again!

Nice to see someone who knows how to drive get stuck. I was waiting for balls to the wall rev limiter stuff, but I am happier watching it done right :)

you have sliders. no reason not to try. they aren't mistakes if you learn from them. last time I was at a meet I got stuck at least 5 times and most were high side stucks like yours.

Sometimes depending on the angle and length of your truck you can turn your wheels and pull out of it. Ive been in a situation where i was completely high centered and alone in the woods. I calmed down and realized i just had to turn my wheels and i got traction.

yeah, I was mostly worried about the exhaust since I still have the stock crossover.

oh yeah, couldn't turn the wheel either way, I would have been f**kered if I had been alone.
the thing that really ticked me off was I had kicked my buddy out and told him to tell me if I was going to make it and he just stood there like a dope till I got wedged in and then said 'Awww yeah!"

They can take some good abuse. Mine was literally a pancake before I got skids and a DT Y pipe. I know they come flat from the factory already but mine was extra flat.

I know a few people wheeling hard without skids and theirs look horrible, but they are still connected.

If you break one I have a brand new spare Y pipe with 400 miles on it :)

Yea, I was just out to get vid of that axle moving over different terrain. Didn't feel like hammering on the truck for no reason. And there where fresh elk tracks in that mud so even less reason to tear things up.
