I went to the farm to mow and put up trail cameras.
Mowing was finished and I started driving thru the woods to hang cameras.
A 2" walnut stick was wedged between the rear e-brake cable, the rear axel housing and the ground - bringing me to a complete stop.
I couldn't for forward or reverse, even in 4 wheel drive low and e-locker engaged.
Then my Warn winch would only feed out and not in, therefore, I couldn't pull the truck off the obstacle!
I had no saw or anything to cut the stick - finally I had an idea :D.
Using my 9mm pistol, 5 shots later:infantry:, I had shot the stick in half, freed the tension on the brake cable, and freed my truck!
The misquitos and deer flies were thick too!
Just another example of 'adapt and overcome' and don't leave home without a firearm!

It is my CCW - therefore I had defensive ammo ie: hydrashocks in it.
    An expensive shooting 'repair'.
.40 cal would have helped but a .45 would have been even better!

maybe I should have a 'pistol drawer' in my tool box...
I can hear it now, "...this .38 won't fit, hand me the .45!"

thanks for the complliments & ribbing!

Only my brother (actual) would have this happen...and figure out this solution. Excellent job.
May I suggest a second magazine of ammo in your truck...label it 'extraction / recovery'. You never know when another 2" branch will try to stop you!
