GD!!! Tacomas can take a fuckin beating!

I wouldnt attempt that trail even with sliders and skids. Better have a 6"lift 35's front rear lockers and a solid axle in the front and armored up from all available spots. Holy shit you got balls.

Glad you guys got it out though.

Man that's good to hear that the Hummer made some progress! Chris is damn right though. There's still a long way for it to go especially if it's facing the wrong way now. How'd you guys get it off the rock? It's gonna be a wild one getting it through the rest of that madness. You guys are gonna come out of there with HUGE arms from moving those rocks around.

Final outcome. Couldn't make the 180 turn so he backed down the rest to avoid the dropoff. It actually turned out pretty well for the H3. He avoided the tree completely and after we finish up we are driving both vehicles back to SD under their own power. We owe alot to TW and the offroad community in general. It was amazing to have that many people respond so quickly. Pictures and video of the final few obsticals to come. Thanks again.

    Check out my sig...
Some of y'all think OP and his friend did this maliciously and recklessly. I think they're new to the area (at least OP says he's new as of a year ago) and just didnt know the trails. I can say that 'reckless' gave us a good little education about the area when we were out there for the rescue. Being from Hawaii, and my last off-road experience at Ft Irwin (High desert) I didnt know about the trails in this area and Ive been here for 2.5 years.

OP - congrats on getting the H3 out. I didnt think you guys would make it off that rock without tearing the drive train up. I was gonna post up tonight that I could make it back out there tomorrow to help if y'all needed it. Had to sleep today - went about 41hrs straight with only an hour nap after I got home from the trail.

Lets see some of the H3 pics/vids!
