    Thanks for the props! Yes they were basically going to put him in a worse situation and hes was almost out of there! I just thought of everything the 4WD(Doug) Taught me and realized what we needed to do to get him off that rock. I do know what tool im buying for my recovery equipment, a cum-along. If thats how you spell it. That tool was the only thing i could think of to use to get him out of that situation. And lo and behold the heepers had one and didnt even think of using it themselves:rolleyes:! That tool is amazing!

    Better is to get the "winching" kit for a hi-lift jack. Basically allows the Hi-lift to act as a come-along...pack less, have the same capability.

    Dood, they had the attachment on the top of the heeps hi-lift (kinda like in the pic below).. I didnt think about using it either! Of coruse we didnt have to until the doods come-along broke but still...

    BETTER!:p:p:p:p:p:p:p! Nice but stay realistic and stick with the 84 or 85 straight axel locked front and rear with a six inch lift plus and 35 or 37 inch tires and you'll be just fine son!:D

    Yeah, don't try winching with it. You are NOT going to pull a mired vehicle along with this. But, if you need to kick your ass one direction or the other, or need to keep from hitting something, it can help.

    As for the guy worried about it snapping, if it does, you've got bigger problems.
