Is that near the Salton Sea? Looks like it. You can be driving along the Salton Sea looking good and then all of the sudden....... thick, sticky mud that looks like the firm ground.

1 - Remove the Off Road decal
2 - Replace with Mall Crawler decal.

I did something similar at the Salton Sea although not so deep. I had to hop out in that muck and air down my tires. I let 10PSI out and was able to drive right out (2WD with limited slip).

 

This was fun. Watched a Cherokee on 35s try and fail and I figured I could get just as far if not farther in the stock Toyota. Got about 15 feet farther than he did before he pulled me out!

 

This thread is fun, and it also reminds me why I hate mud!! But I do want to see more

 

Not my Tacoma - just watched from a safe distance, but this cluster happened on one of my projects. Fortunately it was not my problem - all I have to do is watch...

 

I managed to get my truck stuck this past weekend, all my fault though. The truck was inching along, then for some reason stupid hit me, and I decided to try to reverse out of it and sank it to the frame.... Live and learn.
