They brought in two more excavators from another part of the project and worked the dozer and truck out of there inch-by-inch. Took about two days.

You all need to carry a couple of short 3×3s treated lumber (landscape lumber works good)that CLEARS your wheel wells and a little short chain.Wrap the lumber with the chain around the wheel and carefully drive out of it.As long as you dont hit anythinTAKE it'll work like a charm.NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR DAMAGE TO YOUR EQUIPMENT FOR TRYING.

Good question, the stick was wedged in with sufficient force that it could not be removed by hand, or even when I kicked it with my foot!

Try going through a deep mud puddle only to have very fine silt clog your radiator and trans cooler and air conditioning coil. Temps skyrocketed while i crawled out of the woods. I had to cut the engine for a while to cool. Made me pretty uncomfortable seeing coolant temps get to 240. Got back to highway and to a coin op carwash. Spent 15 bucks and the silt kept coming out. Bought an oil cooler a few weeks later because temps were a little higher than norm. I thought it was because Texas summer really started setting in. During install I found I missed a little silt behind the grill that I couldn't see. Now she runs way cooler. NEVER again will I do the mud...

I'll go mudding but mud bogging is out of the question. Anything halfway up my wheels is a solid no.

I'm with you guys. I'd rather work on a rusted truck or a greasy truck than a truck that has seen much mud. I HATE having the crap fall in my face while I am working under the truck.

I also learned early on that fie silt in joints left to rust and destroy moving joints makes me sick.

I once lost my factory skids on my old 01 while going through a mud puddle. Someone had put chunks of concrete between the ruts that were under water. Peeled those skids back like a banana peel. Lucky it didn't tear out my tacoma guts too. I think it was intentional too.

Then managed this one in sac and didn't get stuck but now my ac won't work lol tore the bumper from the frame, cut it, welded it back on, straightened the bumper by watching a friend do all the work and it's skid less but the bumper is hardly noticeable now

Over near antelope, there's one pit in like the middle, don't go in it lol it doesn't look it but it's almost 3ft deep water came over the hood and in my bed and up my tailgate took my skids hostage and I was the only stock vehicle to not get towed out (I figured this out after, they starred by applauding me for getting er out then mouths opened and fingers pointed when they saw the damage) . Took me a solid 10 minutes in 4 lo and hi to work my way out in reverse.

OHHHH! Over by the home depot lol. I used to live further down antelope just over the train track over pass. That spot you got stuck has an 88' buick sedan buried under one of those "jumps". Yeah, not a good spot to sling mud due to all the sac co sheriffs around there.
