Like my other vehicles, if someone said something I'd tell them to cough up the funds to purchase "a more worthy" vehicle. If not, I tactfully tell them to f*ck off. And my Tacoma was built in California so that's another worthy plug.

most american truck owners that give me crap will say something like, "hey let me know when you want to get a real truck." then i reply by saying, "hey give me call when you a need a jump and a tow." after saying this most american truck owners say, "yeah i wish i would have gotten a toyota."

Love when people ask to race them in there v8 mustangs. Me responding "no" automatically makes me a pussy with a crappy truck???
Once again, another one of those situations where they will find that "American made" ford in the shop with loads of problems as i drive past them with well over 200,000 on my truck.

Or you get the "Yeah, I looked at them, but they were too expensive" or "Yeah, but I got a good deal on this".

everything is a good deal until something breaks...
which is why its important to look up cost of ownership for a vehicle when purchasing. the dollar amount on the window sticker is only part of the big picture.

Cost of ownership for Tacoma's is low............until....TW. Then it goes right down the shitter. However, we get to enjoy the money spent on aftermarket mods and such.

Nope, I NEED things for the truck. I NEEDED the bumper in case I hit a deer, and then I NEEDED the lift kit to keep from sagging coils, and then I NEEDED a winch in case I went off the road in a snowstorm. Or that's what I tell my wife to sell her on the ideas.

My buddies always mess with me because I dont have 4WD and they all do. I just come back with "At least my truck wont break down in the next year".

I said that to one of them and the next day his fuel pump went out on his 1998 Chevy 1500

when people say stuff I just let it roll right off my back, then sling mud all over them when I pull them out of a hole, especially if they're in an open jeep.

my grandpa used to call my toyota a turd-roller (the scientific name for a dung beetle), but I kinda liked that, I call it that myself sometimes.

all I gotta say is every time I take my completly stock Taco up a very tight walled hill, I dont get stuck or wedged in between the walls, I watch all kinds of wide bodied truck i.e. these huge american trucks. get there beefy trucks stuck or they are to heavy and just sink in the mud and sand. Now dont get me wrong if I need a to haul an 28ft RV than I will use a huge gas drinkin truck but all I need is my 2010 Tacoma for my jobs.

Ask visa or my wife. They both constantly remind me how much I've got left to spend.
I had one dude say " hey man that thing looks like a little hummer".
