Im a Carpenter and the only thing the guys I work with say anything about, is how small my bed is.
But they know how great Toyota trucks are.

And I just tell them, well I didnt get my truck for work perposes! Its my own recreational fun/perposes. If I would have gotten a truck for work I would have gotten a Ext. Cab with a 6ft. bed like you. (he drives a Titan)

I either hear "why didn't you buy a Colorado" or "that's a cute truck."

I was in Bristol, Tn to watch drag racing and we were camping by the speedway. A guy walked by and said to his buddy, TRD huh, huh, that means turd.

A bunch of people always ask "what is that a Tundra" That kind of pisses me off. I'd rather have a Tacoma than a Tundy, unless it's the old body style!

No one has really ever badmouthed my truck which is amazing. My friends sometimes call it a dyke truck but they are kidding/jealous. (one drives an '86 Nissan Hardbody and the other an 02 4runner). I have even gotten a compliment form a mexican at the wal mart near my college lol.

I'm about to make a sticker that says "ford repair kit" because my buddy keeps breaking his ranger. It may not do 65 over whoops yet, but I still end up driving her home instead of towing her home on a flatbed

I have a buddy who has an old zr2 s10 and both his older brothers have Silverado 1500's one being 4x4. The day they saw the Toyota everyone had some smart ass thing to say about either "I should've bought a full-size" or "I thought you said you bought a truck" and would not shut up about buying American.

That was 2 years ago and I have since pulled 1- silverado 4x4 out that was stuck in a mudpit I just ran through, 2- s10 out of a riverwash when he dug too deep in the sand and overheated his trans, and 3- the other silverado 15 miles to a mechanics shop when he blew out his trans on a mountain road. Like a rock my ass!

They have all since shut the hell up

People say a lot of shit until they need you to pull them out.

And that's why I really don't care what anyone else says. When it comes to having the goods offroad, Tacos walk the walk more than any other truck. They can have all the talk they want.

I do particularly enjoy pointing out to 05 to 07 V8 Dakota owners that my 6 cylinder has more hp and a faster 0-60 than their 8.
