its not trading it in per say i name a price then they sell the truck for me and i'm given my asking price. they sell for a little more to make some cash and they take 500 off the top as a flat rate commission.

i wouldn't trade it in the way it is now no way. i had thought about parting out the truck but, if i did that i would be forced to trade it in or be stuck in the same boat i'm in now waiting to sell the truck.

i know a dealer would only give me about 16 or 17k for the truck in a more sedate form either way this blows lol.

i lowered my asking price to 26k in the for sale thread on here and i'm about to relist it on ebay i unfortunately don't have the luxury of time currently otherwise i would wait for the right buyer. the new house and impending move to vt. is looming overhead and fast approaching.

26k is right about 25 cents on the dollar for all the mods that i'm into for and considering i never used the truck once the way it should have been  it seems like someone would jump on it.

this economy blows! nobody buys anything they can't finance anymore

Like I said part it out and you will at least get $0.50-0.75 on the dollar for the mods. All your shit's brand new so people would jump all over it.

    stock trucks sell quicker

the new jeep has a rear locker aev plate steel front bumper full aev skids underneath line-xed dom tube sliders and aev's rear bumper and mopars version of the aev heat reduction hood.

next couple of mods already on the way include led headlights from jw speaker vision-x led auxilary lights. and aev's tire carrier and full integrated fuel can shovel/pullpall carrier and water storage. next up is the new warn winch with viking rope.

haha i'm still feeling it out its a jeep you know... frigging thing is nice though quiet feels like a bank vault and has got tons of power. i hate american cars with a passion they never did anything for me and i never paid any attention to jeeps but this new jk with the pentastar v6 is a cool little package.

It's a "heep" :D I like the way jeeps look but I'd never pay $$ for one I had bad experienced with my dodge my parents doDGE and 2 chargers people at work had.

i worked in the car business for like 20 years guys i have had my hands on and driven almost every brand of car imaginable. i ran a family owned recon store hence why my cars are so clean :)

i fully agree about dodge/american cars hell i worked at a chevy dealership for like 15 years. i don't know what happened to jeep and i can't speak to the build quality of any of their other models but, this 2013 jk feels very tightly screwed together it reminds me of a mercedes g-wagen.

i suggest you go and test drive one they are tight feeling! the new engine and trans is fucking light years better than any other mill i ever felt in any jeep once again it does't feel like a truck it feels like a german car to me.

i was originally looking at a trail teams fj but, found plenty of things missing from a content standpoint no heated mirrors in a 37k truck no nav, no heated seats and only a rear locker. i also wanted toyota to put on a set of the black five spoke wheels from the old trail teams and they right there killed the deal cause toyota wouldn't sell me the wheels.

they took a stance on the matter that just pissed me off for some reason or another so fuck it i went out and bought a jeep. i plan on keeping this one for at least 3 years so i'll keep you posted on how things go. i know my fingers are crossed but, like i said so far so good and the truck exceeded my expectations in terms of refinement content and overall build quality. plus its got the chops to be a very capable truck right out of the wrapper.

i'm not a fan boy of anything or any company hence the switch to a jeep although i'm not going to lie it did feel like i was cheating a bit lol.

on a side note aev makes some nice kit for jeeps very stout and slick designs but, every thing they sell is ala cart which unfortunately also makes them very expensive :/ my truck came with a butt load of their armor on it already so i plan on finishing my jk with their whole package. i fully plan of throwing their entire product line at my new jk so it should be very cool.

all the jeep forums fucking blow though lol ads everywhere :/ so as far as forums go tw is still my favorite place to be :)

actually he fits pretty good with the rear seat folded forward its much easier for him to get in due to the headliner being high in the jeep he can dam near stand straight up on the inside.

my wifes 12" outback has plenty of space for him to lay down comfortably in the back but, the height of the roof is so low he has a hard time climbing up in there and getting out. in the jeep he just steps right up nice and easy.

i'm going to a company that makes custom memory foam covers for the interior of the jeep the guy told me that it would cover the back of the rear seats all the way around the glass like a tub of fleece protecting the everywhere but the rear hatch fully.

Safari Snorkel. Contact Sierra Expeditions, I believe they can get them. They weren't made for the 2nd Gen, they use a Hilux snorkel with a modified fit kit I believe.
    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/sierra-expeditions/

Also, search 'snorkel' and you'll find some threads on them. There was a group buy on them a while back so there are several threads with the installation procedure, pricing, fuel economy info, etc.
