i had a very good 4x4 shop do the install i drove 2.5 hours to get to them. they do some very high end stuff at ok auto and 4x4 i can not speak highly enough about the experience i had with them.

i paid for it! but, they road tested and shimmed or did something to make sure the truck was vibe free i don't notice any vibes so i would have to attribute that to the crew at ok 4x4 and not the fucking retarded poo comp lift lol.

the face book page is a great idea thanks boyd:) and i really do appreciate the offer but, at this point it's to soon to plan anythting as i have no idea what they are willing to do for me but, thanks guys :)

since i'm so new to this stuff it actually would be a good idea to have you look at it. while i'm not ivan stewart it looks pretty screwed up to me.

Don't feel too bad about having to do redo the suspension. I had to open up my rear suspension three times:

    1. Original install - no shims
    2. Install 4 degree shims. (TOO MUCH!)
    3. Install custom 2 degree shims. (Goldilocks "just right.")

    Front suspension:

    1. Original install
    2. Go back six months later and do UCAs.

i feel kinda bad:confused: i feel really fucking just idk i do not have the money to redo the suspension 4wp's really fucked me over on this one buddy its pretty bad.

i did everything or at least a MAJOR chunk of the build at once and everything went smooth except i have the wrong suspension now they are telling me fuck it you have to buy a new suspension or a new bull bar to put some weight over the front axel oh and btw they want me to pay for it plus any labor charges that may apply!

i hate these mother fuckers right now lol:eek: i have a new small business and while i'm not eeking by this time around the modding has sucked my funds dry lol. i'm literally at their mercy.

4wp's is a real shit stain of a company!

let this serve as record along with the other two threads i had started previously to warn people about purchasing anything from this place trans america parts pro comp or 4wp's or what ever the fuck name they actually go by.

they have the most shady and down right illegal customer service policy i have ever encountered in my 33 years on this planet. them selling a customer the wrong parts is one thing if the mistake is caught before the actual installation of the parts. to just feed them horribly wrong info from start to finish when the customer takes it upon himself to call their tech dept. is not ok and neither is them sticking the custome with the problem the lift caused!

i have to replace both of my inner cv boots already!! the driver side is literally ready to pop at any moment and the passenger side is not far behind it. the lift has only been on for two weeks and 400 miles at the most!!

they should not be allowed to continue as a vendor on this site seeing as after a week into the arguing back and forth about a solution to my problem they finally said the best we can do is issue you a refund? i want and deserve the bumper that will fix this problem for free plus a refund! to off set the cost of replacing cv boots and for the fucking control arm's i was promised i would not need by their tech dept. no less!

the control arms btw where mandatory seeing as how i could not even drive home on the factory uca's!

update time 4wp's made good on their promise and sent me out the arb bull bar however...

i had stated on the release of liability form they had me sign in order to receive the bumper specific part numbers the one part number i'm missing is the loom to hook up the fog lights and turn signals md02 to be exact lol they sent me out three things i do not even need.

i even went as far as calling arb and getting the correct part numbers for them then emailed the manager 3 times with them plus sent the signed copy of the liability release again with the part numbers.

anyhow the stone guard was pretty mangled as well so in these pics it's not on and the light and signals are not working i'm going to see if they can send me out the correct stuff to complete this whole thing once and for all.

the bumper is super tough and looks pretty good i have to say. so i guess i just need a new stone guard that's not mangled and a wiring harness for the lights and i'm all set.

yeah i never went back to the shop for them to realign and check things over, i rescheduled my appointment for this friday. they are going to install the ss brake lines front and rear and remove the driver side spacer from the coil over let me know if this is a bad idea or not ? then they are boxing the cab chop and possibly cutting and boxing the arb bumper to clearance the tires but this remains to be seen.

i tinted the turn signals on the arb today came out awesome!:)

then i made a custom mount for my vision-x solstice pods now they form a mini light bar right in the center of it all and far enough back that they won't be damaged if i happen to bump something lol.

now i need a wiring harness for the turn signals and fog lights  i gave 4wp's the correct part numbers three times  for everything i would need and i still got the wrong shit.

for the life of me i could not remember what this reminded me of but, then the other night while eating in the truck with the wife at stewarts root beer it came on my head unit the chappel show skit "top copy" employee training video lol.

lol when i went to wire up the lights and signals i realized they sent me three wrong part numbers. i sent them the correct shit 3 times lol and i still got the wrong stuff. so the lights are on hold until i get that stuff figured out.

but other than that its fucking awesome i can't believe this thing is leading the way now lol. the turn signals where begging to be blacked out i just shot the reflectors with the bed liner then reassembled them it turned out great :)

if i had the cash to do it myself i would have went with eric's bumper in 1/4 inch steel with just the center hoop. he makes some nice stuff man boyd's bumper is tough as shit!

i like the arb bull bar if it matches the truck other wise i think they look horrible lol. i think it turned out pretty good on mine it adds like a solid foot of length to the front of the truck though.

relentless and arb are the only second gen bumper i would even consider eric employes that frame brace for distributing the load as does arb boyd had pointed out to me they are the only 2 that do this so when i throw the warn winch in there it should be good to go :)

i just realized that the winch solonoid is supposed to go where i mounted the vision-x pods

i have to get a non integrated warn winch for the arb so is it possible to relocate the solonoid in the engine bay? i have seen a thread where a guy did this i'm just not sure how difficult it is.

that is my life story i'm constantly making more work for my self lol

cool i was hoping for this answer lol. i could not really find a good place to mount those vision-x lights that did not look either retarded or put them in harms way. i saw a write up on an install of the arb bumper and the guy glazed over his relocation of the solenoid so i just wasn't sure how difficult or if it was even ok to be doing that.

boyd had mentioned that only relentless was doing this but, no one else until he saw the arb bull bar. apparently elite, all pro and cbi along with many others don't add that frame brace to evenly distribute the loads that winching ca place on the bumper assembly! i was shocked to hear this but, then saw the threads and read stories about guy's mangling their bumpers when trying to winch out their trucks lol.

either way if you ever look into after market bumpers the choice should be between arb and relentless the rest are not designed for hard use or really any use if that makes sense.

you can't go wrong either way man he makes a really nice super beefy and imho the best looking bumper for 2nd gens hands down. especk has an aluminum bumper from eric ask him about i'm pretty sure he uses that little regular cab lol.

if there where any flaws he would know abou tit lol.
    edit:
not sure what kind of wheeling you do but if bashing into rocks is on your list of fun stuff to do the aluminum may not be your best bet i would think steel would be the strongest option the only draw back is the weight which is on par with the arb even in 1/4 steel he quoted me 130 to 140 pounds shit my arb weighs in at 160:eek:
