it's a undercover se hard tonneau and yes it has a lock on it and a built in led light near the pull strap. its very nice and it can support over 1,000 pounds on its surface.

So I am like you and I would consider myself a perfectionist. I have spent atleast 20 hours lookingat builds and yours is by far the closest to what I want, (Im getting a 12' DBL SB within a year)

    Couple questions.

How are theose two lights mounted behing your grill, was there already a mount installed for the lights?

When you mount those lights and the four little ones you have, are they all wired seperatly to the battery or how are they powered seperatly?

I have also never seen that hood guard anywhere, where exactly did you get it?

I have a couple more but I don't want to bombard you with too many man. Thanks for any advice you can lend me.

I plan on getting my Taco and having it for life, I want to hit that Million mark on it so I want to do it right from the get go!

the lights are mounted on a bracket i made myself then sprayed every thing with duplicolor truck bed liner. a light coat will not hurt anything just black out behind the grill nicely. the lights them selves are the large black magics by hella.

the lights came with their own stand alone harness and switch it was very straight forward. when you get closer to the instal i can help you out no problem :)

the stone guard is a toyota accessory.

i usually trade in and out of cars and trucks at the 2 year mark so modding anything was a waste of money. since i was a kid i wanted a regular cab truck like the one in back to the future lol. so i bought this one and decided to keep her for awhile and make my childhood dream come true sounds gay but, i love it man it's a great little truck with the mods i plan on doing to her it will be truly unique and wicked as hell.

good luck with your rig and if you have any questions send them my way i will help you all i can that what we are all on here for as far as i'm concerned

thanks i still have some stuff to do to her but, i have some other stuff going on so the truck plans are on hold for a bit. the paxon/kevlar/ line-xtra full paint job are next on the list i think that will make it look evil. lol when people walk by it i want them to get that pre rape feeling ya know what i mean babe

ARB needs to get off their ass and release the 2nd gen tacoma bumper and sliders. the 2nd gen has been on the ground since 05! it's now 2011 wtf i love their bull bar and want my all my body armor to be arb so i'm waiting for them to release them but, so far no dice it's pissing me off because it's holding up my finishing the truck lol.

with your current setup youd have a ton of fun.....no need for locker or winch to have a blast...i still dont have skids and i been on some nasty stuff...most think im nutz for going wher i go without armor...but with your short wheelbase and 295's youd tackle some crazy shit ....the biggest thing is you...do you know ur truck and have experiense offroading on real trails...rausch creek is trail based easy to extreme.....green stock 4x4's can run (not a honda pilot lol) ........blues get interesting and you will want need some lift and at least 265's with some armor....purple trails are not for newbies, big rocks,33's, skids bumpers recomended, blacks deff require armor,33''-35'' GOOD tires,1 locker, possibly a winch,bumpers......then theres reds which require all of the above plus a huge set of balls, spare parts and money to fix shit as it will get broken, lol........with your short wheel base and tall stance you can run blues all day even without gears and armor....if your experienced you could do purples an even blacks....that short wheelbase makes a HUGE difference....i may be gathering a few of the guys for a november run PM me if your interested and we can talk about RC alil more

i was just talking with xxxx and he was telling me you guy's where doing the wharton cleanup or some shit i do actually want to go out believe it or not but, now something else is wrong with the truck lol.

i'm getting noise coming from somewhere in the front end pretty bad for the last few weeks i tried to isolate it but, i can't nail it down for sure. plus my alignment is still whacked the fuck out.

ok 4x4 was insistant that i have the wrong control arms on the truck they actually used the words to much arm? i ordered spc light racing control arms from fat bobs garage they say thats the reason i can't get the alignment in spec i paid twice now for them to align it properly but, both times i hear the same shit. and the last few weeks the ruck had no headlights i just got that one sorted out this monday lol.

sounds good i do not mind getting it dirty but, i don't want to pinstripe the whole truck quite yet boyd had assured me that if i took it back to wharton that shit would be inevitable. if your saying i can do it on the stock gears i believe you but, the little 4 banger is struggling with those 295's though brother lol.

those are my two biggest concerns i do fully plan on spraying it with line-xtra and paxon but, the possibility of building a new house has killed that idea for the time being so i just didn't want to kill my new truck just yet.

i would be down for a run in november me and the wife would love to go i had it off road a couple times but nothing crazy. i also don't have all that much experience with driving off road either to be completely honest probably nothing like you guy's have done. i can however drive anything with wheels lol so i'm not completely worried about that.

the truck does have a few issues i would like to see worked out before i take it out on a trail. pm me when the rc meet get's closer by then i should be done with my period and will most likely join the group lolz

Not gonna lie, I did the same thing when I put mine on

Shouldnt be causing any noises, but it will not allow the alignment to be right. Easy fix atleast.

the noise could be tie rod ends or what i think the lower control arm bushings being tweaked as it happens when i turn and go back and forth either way it's directly attributed to work they did on the truck seeing as how everything has only been on the truck for less than 2 months and 1,000 to 1,500 miles at most
