I don't even have an excuse for being crabby. I haven't missed a day of work, and I have traveled as much as ever this summer. I'm just avoiding big crowds, which I generally do anyway.

You were just being a Good Samaritan is all. @WiscoPat was sad because his new-in-bag bubba rope was feeling unappreciated. You are the friend it needed. :humble:

Easy James he didn't mean to be harsh, you just read it that way.
I told you last nite it wasn't tires it was the approach.
Once you hit frame your done no matter what tires you have.

And as far as I'm concerned your tires are fine, I've been thru alot on AT's.

You would of made it but you saw the downed tree and removed it. If someone (ME) didn’t have a pavement princess and wasn’t so worried about his blazing blue paint, everyone would have blasted through it. I completely take the blame for it.

Sorry guys! I should probably be able to take a joke about sliding into the mud with no momentum.

It was a good experience. I learned a little more about what not to do. Truth is, I usually back out or go around anything I think I might get stuck in.

Trips like this are a good time to get stuck and learn how to use recovery equipment. Having a few other trucks around is good insurance for not getting stranded.

I know @Peeing on Jeeps would have pulled me out, too, after he got done laughing at me.;)

You need to start pushing yourself more, you can do more than you think with that truck,
yea it sucks getting stuck and no one does it on purpose, but a)you have a winch b)if you don't push yourself you'll never know what's possible.
Winches are cool but if you stop cause you might need it why have it.
I never had one and did lots of exploring.

More times then I can count I have found some really cool stuff not long after I stopped thinking I couldn't make it thru and did.

this is what i would do
    watch someone get stuck
    point and laugh
    document them being stuck
    help get them unstuck

Couldn't have said it better. Push yourself and the truck, if you need a pull that means you found your limit. If the truck still gets you home and to work on Monday, who cares? Sometimes you won't even be that lucky!

Well the truck is new and his only transportation so we gotta stop before trashing shit,
but stopping and turning around cause I might get stuck is not what winches were designed for.

@Thatbassguy @Shellshock you guys were right. Tires were set at 50. Set them to 35 and the ride is measurably less floaty. Thanks for the tip - I had just assumed they'd set them based on the door sticker.

    Happy wheeling!

I’m glad to see you guys got out and enjoyed. Nice to see you all getting dirty. Tomorrow is my first day off in 3 weeks. I was definitely looking forward to getting out and meeting up. Picked up this pop up at the end of July. My family and I did a trip around Lake Michigan to break it in. It towed awesome. 9 days of traveling and camping. I was home for about 45 minutes before the storm blew through. It’s been non stop until tonight. Hope you guys are well. Keep me in mind for future trip plans.
