    I manage a ski shop.

-A semi regular complaint by customers is why does it have to be so cold in the winter when they want to go skiing. I jokingly respond that skiing the dirt and grass in the summer is really rough on the equipment, and they ask why there isn't snow anymore.

-When I used to run our ski shop that was located on premise at a ski resort, we would do multi day rentals to people. A guy comes in and does a 3 day rental. First day went great and he came back real happy. 2nd day he comes back at lunch, looking all wore out and complaing how we did something to his boots as they are not as comfortable as yesterday. I looked down at his feet and he has the boots on the wrong feet. I joked about it, but was polite, and told him he could sit on my bench and swap the boots. after like 20 mins he is all ready to go, and thanks me saying how they are so much more comfortable. Look down at his feet and they are still on the wrong feet....Turns out he had swapped the footbeds between the boots and then put them back on the wrong feet.

-When a customer tells me they used to work in a ski shop or own one, and they know how much $ we have in a product, so they dont want to pay our price. They tell you what the # is, and are far, far low.

In the summer we sell high end patio furniture.

-A rep for one of our wood companies comes in to talk to us. I asked if he could leave me product brochures to give to customers. He seemed real annoyed, and explained how they don't print brochures because they are environmentally friendly. I proceeded to ask where they get all the wood that the furniture is made from at then?

That's exactly the point, sodium is part of salt(It's sodium chloride), so one turkey is just lower sodium, and one has no salt. However, on the packaging the NSA turkey even says "NOT A SODIUM-FREE FOOD"

I used to work as a salesman at a tire shop (as well as being one of the most experienced techs) and people would ask a question about a tire and didn't like the answer I gave. Their response was always...well can you ask one of the guys out back who actually works on tires...(As my hands and clothes are stained black from changing tires).

Had many customers go through the following scenario...
Me: Sir, I can give you a smoking deal on these wheels and tires...out the door at $1050.27.
Customer: That's a terrible price...I want to talk to your manager!
Me: Go get manager and explain the situation.
Manager: Well sir, I could fire Sam for giving you this good of a deal, or you could take my deal and your total will be $1227.48...(With a huge grin on his face)
Customer: That sounds great... thanks for the great deal manager...Here's my credit card.
    :facepalm::thumbsup:

Working in a meat market, I had a lady ask to have a boneless pork loin cut in half (not sliced, just cut in half) and wrapped because it would be, and I quote, "easier to carry to the register."o_O

Boss man told me about a lady that asked him once for 3 breakfast (thin) cut pork chops. Said she had company coming over.:hungry: Bet they never came back, lol.

I did the sales side of retail mostly as a part times. Not long after going full time did I start going up the managerial level. I don't know if I would be very happy being a full-time sales person and that's it.

Had a stint working in govt. for awhile.

Lady says "You have a glue stick".

    Give her the stick.

She says "How do I use this"?

WTF and never again govt work.

Back when I worked at Blockbuster, one time at like 2am well after we had closed and left the store and all lights off (except emergency lights) and everything, customer yanked on the door so hard, that is set off the alarm. But yes, Blockbuster was probably the worst for people coming after close.

Have been working at Costco for about 5 years now. Love the place, Hate the people.. LOATH THE PEOPLE.. We've created monsters of people. Specifically work in the tire center, so, sort of a salesman. I had a elderly man that came in with tires that he had bought in 2007 on a honda civic. 10 years is quiet some time for tires, we stop warranting tires after 6 years, or the mileage warranty for the tires, which ever comes first.
Man: Hey, I'm here to trade in my tires.
    Me: ? Trade them?
Man: Yes, they are starting to get old, and you will need to replace them, they are under warranty.
Me: I'm sorry sir, we don't just trade tires in when your tired of them, plus they are over ten years old now, they have no warranty on them.
Man: Who do I have to talk to, and how loud do I have to yell?
He ended up leaving with 4 tires (on the house, money coming from our departments profit) and a 100 dollar cash card (from our profit).
I ended up with a long lecture of how I just don't get it, and my member service seems to be poor......You got it boss, I'll work on it..

Your manager doesn't get it. That fart will tell 100 other farts and they'll all show up wanting free tires. I'm sure your manager will point the finger at you. Next idiot that pulls this shit, send him to the manager, as you're not customer friendly.

I work on gas dispensers, servicing them, and from time to time there is an idiot asking " can I smoke while I watch what you're doing?"

ummmmm no........ You can watch, yes, but please, do not smoke. Or yes, you can smoke, but watch from afar, not a few feet from me and the dispenser... o_O

The dumbest thing I ever saw in a gas station, though, is someone who had his car on fire parking next to a dispenser to take the extiguisher on the pillar next to it to extinguish the fire. Luckily, nothing blew up and he was able to put out the fire, but still, that was incredibly stupid..........

EXACTLY! Unfortunately its too late. We've trained these people to do what ever they want here. It's almost to a point where its comical now, but its just crazy how foolish we can be with money.. Reckless if you will.. I could go on for hours I feel about this place. Don't get me wrong, I love it. but can't stand the people we cater to.

I work for a luxury car dealership. One of my jobs is to explain to customers how to work the technology in their cars. REALLY fun sometimes. Anyway one of the services we provide is to pick up a customer's car, leave them a loaner car and bring their car in for service. One customer that lived 1.5 hours away wanted me to pair her phone to the car because she got a new number. Pretty sure that's not how it works. Plus she had her phone with her 1.5 hours away while the car was at the dealership. She just wanted her new number programmed to the car.

Me and my dad Work in airport operations at the international airport here in Phoenix. Not too long ago an Uber eats driver pulled up to the curb and asked my dad where the McDonald’s was. Naturally my dad was like, excuse me? We have a McDonald’s past security in a boarding area of one of the terminals, and apparently this guy ordered food from there to bring to a customer, and after explaining to him that this is an airport and that it’s past security he asked if he could get a special escort to the McDonald’s and started complaining when we told him no. Says he would get a bad review online if he didn’t deliver the food asap. :smack:

I work at a Bait and Tackle shop and a 20-30old something guy wanted 3 dozen live shrimp. I give him the shrimp and he looks in the bucket and complains to his friend. " Hell naw man that aint no 3 dozen shrimp!" I asked him" How many does that look like?" He said " About 40!" I just smiled and let them leave the store mad.
