Now that really sucks!!! - Did you get the tenderloin and take it home! ;)

Sorry for your loss.... You know that tenerloin tastes very good. Just heat up some olive oil in a fondue pot and ... That deer should have been shot! I am really pissed when someone gets blasted by one of those bastards! ...Once the oil just starts to pop a little - take a peice of that tenderloin and put it on the end of a skewer and lay it in that hot oil... At least it looks like it didn't crush the a/c condenser or the radiator ...don't leave it in the oil too long. Then just dab it on a paper towel and umm ummm ummm. Now that's some tastee stuff. - Like I say, that really sucks about your truck!!! I hope to see you and your fixed truck back out again and maybe you could finagle a good stout bumper out of it!

Did I mentioned that I have an eating problem?

HB, that front bumper of yours is looking pretty sweet right about now.
I did go back and look at the deer to see if I could salvage anything to make sausage out of. Definitely no.
What really blows is that this is actually deer #8 for me. 5 hits on a 92 Mazda B-2200, two hits on a 98 Taco, and now this one.
One of the hits on my Gen 1 Taco was at exactly the same spot.
The cop that showed up on this one last night said that he has worked 18 deer hits in two days.

Yeah I used to live in deer territory and it sucks this time of year. Now with tree huggers limiting thining out (in their own way) it's getting pretty bad out there. The only bad thing about the shrockworks is the time to wait. I personally would get the full wrap (3 hoops) if I lived in deer country. Their is another company in Redding CA that makes some pretty sweet ones too (just saw them at the Off Road Expo). The company is Winch Ready http://winchready.com/2005-2007_Toyota_Tacoma.html)

Update: Got the truck back from the body shop this afternoon. I am currently in the process of doing the BHLM again since they gave me two new headlights. I am also painting the center section of the grill black since it was some sort of metallic gunmetal color. They did give me a color matched grill though. No ugly chrome.

Pics coming soon once I get it back together

Ok all finished painting the inside of the grill and doing the BHLM. took me about 4 hours to knock both of those out. I like having the color matched grill :D

I'm glad to have the truck back now. Kudos to the body shop for a quick turnaround.

Warren - You are doing a GREAT Job!

BTW dee_bo, closer to civilization? You don't even put where you are from? Do you fish for old boots where you live? Cast for Rats in the back alley? ;) :D :)

Looks good, man. I would love to have a color matched grill surround. Makes it look 100xs better in my opinion.
