I don't know a lot either, as far as ceramic, or graphene other than having my truck professionally ceramic coated 3 1/2 years ago. It still looks like it left the dealers ready room.

Was wondering if the ceramic coating will made it easier for getting bugs, road tar, grime and stuff off ? Also what is required as far as maintenance after the ceramic is applied down the road.

that is massively false. I’ve maintained vehicles for 4+ years after coating them with nothing but soap and water, and the occasional iron-X fall out remover. They still bead water like day one. If your coatings performance
That is massively false. I’ve maintained vehicles for 4+ years after coating them with nothing but soap, water and the occasional fallout remover.. still shedding water like day one.

if your coatings performance is declining it’s likely due to clogged pores, just needs a quick fallout bath and it will be as good as new!

    absolutely it will.
As far as maintenance is concerned a good PH neutral soap like shine supply’s shift or car pro’s reset is great. Once every 6-8 months sprits some fall out remover over the finish out of direct sunlight and allow it to dwell for 2-3 minutes before washing. That’ll keep the coating performing top notch.

OP, there are zero people who spend the time that you did, and it looks show car good, and then take it out in the mud, rocks and brush. You might THINK you will, but all the paint correction and ceramic coat in the world won't fix a brush gouge through the clearcoat or a dent on a rocker panel, which are extremely common damages when even just lightly using it off road.
Hell, I was backing my truck up to a trailer last week in the light woods, ran over a partially covered stick and it flipped up and scratched my lower front bumper.
Your truck is killer on the road. All that work will be a waste of you go off road.

Definitely. I get lots of bird poop, sap, tree pollen and bugs that committed suicide on my truck. I've only hosed it off if no rain in sight. Truck always looks like it was just waxed after a rain storm. All the crap that was on it just wash's away.

I haven't used my truck deep in the woods, but the brush growth on my narrow dirt road where I live has sideswiped my truck many times. There times you'll see the brown brush marks on the paint, but they easily wipe off, or you can wait till it rains, and they will vanish. All I remember when my tundra didn't have this hard glass type ceramic finish, it was beat up pretty bad.

Me personally I’ve only ever installed ceramic. I’ve installed Gtechniq’s C1 probably a thousand times so I’m just very familiar with that coating and how it applies. So my opinion is pretty biased.

I certainly wouldn't my a list of products that are within reason and able to be done by a novice that you would suggest. Skill and patience are the hard things to have, what is tolerant to a lack of both!

Their are a lot of guys that don’t off road so the op truck will keep looking good. Mine always looks like that because I don’t off road. Enjoy driving a truck. Plus need it for the winter also.

Looks great, I just did my own ceramic coating a few days after I purchased her, after a week of curing first wash this evening.

Boy is that a whopper. I'd agree with you if an over the counter ceramic spray's, but the deep hard glass coating they did professionally on mine when the truck was up in Boston is nothing of the sort. I have a warranty for a lifetime if I experience any defects in my paint related to bird poop, bugs, tree sap, and pollen. I even had some caustic brown crap accumulate on my truck one winter while following this tanker on a busy 2 lane highway, that I was later able to wipe off with some elbow grease. Imo, when professionally done it really comes down to who's doing it. Dealer told me that the shop they sent it out to, does nearly all the vehicles they sell.
