Thanks Jake! They were taken by my friend, Matt. He has a bunch of other cool shots of his RX8 with the different sets of wheels he's been through as well as our buddy's WRX here on his Flickr.

Hey Steven, where is "The Crest" where you went off-roading? I'm just curious. :D

Thanks guys! I really appreciate the compliments.

It's off of Angeles Crest Hwy in La Cañada. Unfortunately, I haven't been there since the Station Fire though so it may be closed now. :(

do you have both front and rear SAWs? or just the fronts? this is the new build i am thinking( get the gold counter steers and get them PCed black. TC UCAs and SAWs in the front. access tonneau dark tint and BHLM and see if i cant get my hands on the chrome bumper for rear and chrome grill.) what do you think?

I just have the front SAWs, but plan on getting the rears too. They make the Countersteer Rs in black for our 5 lugs except they are black with a polished lip.

Ah, I see. Matte black would look better anyways. I'm going to get the SAWs for the rear too eventually. The ReadyLift SST Kit is good for what it is and at the price it's at. I couldn't afford to go mid-travel at the time and I was just looking for a kit to get some clearance and to swap out the small, awkward-looking wheels and tires.

yeah i want to do the same but my mom said she'd buy the suspension if i buy the wheels and tires and get a 3.0 in school and do all my chores basically for free. but i want to get the mid travel so that i can get offroad without things breaking or having to worry. and since shes buying and im working hard i would rather do it the right way instead of a spacer lift. i really like the height the TC mid travel gives it. hopefully sometime between this summer and 2011 i will have mine on

Nice, keep up the hard work and do well in school. Work hard, play later.

Btw, I'm expecting you do get the TC UCA kit now so I expect to see some pics and a build thread around that time. :)

Haha, I don't think I could fit any bigger. I'm already running 265/75R16s. I think I'll be at the same height as I am now. Plus, I don't think my 2.7L of power will be able to lug bigger tires and I don't think I could afford them right now. Paying off my student loans right now...

Hopefully I can get my SAWs rebuilt soon. I want to install it at SCMD 8 (when I say "install", I actually mean get help with the install so that I don't actually break something and make my truck undriveable)!
