Stupid question, need quick answer: sensor part name/# by thermostat on 2.7l

I thought the sensor on the upper radiator hose section by the thermostat housing was the coolant temperature sensor, but somewhere else I was reading it is not...

If not, what is the name of that sensor by the thermostat housing? I have to order parts in a hurry since I have to fix my truck for commuting to work. Quick answer from someone would be a life saver.
