Winter is here and the roads are salty. Is it bad to be spraying under my truck all the time to get the slush off. Can't wait till spring to get under there with fluid film.

I just bought a 2011 Tacoma, and after viewing underneath, and living in Ohio, I decided to go with a hydraulic fluid undercoat. The fluid is thicker than motor oil, and it gave a film on the rest of the truck, after the application. I am no expert, but I would think that this would provide good all over protection against salt/brine.

    why wait till spring?

what i did (just a couple of days ago) was take the truck to a drive-through car wash that has a good undercarriage flush; i drove it about .5 miles to the AutoZone park lot; waited till it was drip dried; then i (aerosol) fluid filmed it right there

I would say it's perfectly reasonable to clean off the slush regularly. I recommend Krown spray. Have it applied to my truck annually and the underside looks pretty good for all the salt it's seen. www.krown.ca.

    Merry Christmas!
