OK, new guy here. I just purchased my first Tacoma. When I look for accessories (rain guard, etc), it asks what model and I do not know. Maybe someone can help me.

2011 Tacoma TX TRD access cab V6, it has the bilstein shocks, TX rims and tires and all the bells and whistles. Is it a Pre-Runner, X-Runner or Base? Those are the three options I am given on my model search. I have tried to figure it out, even called the dealership, probably a stupid question, but I would like to know.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, BAMS

I've always used "base" since I know mine isn't a pre or x runner. (Mine is 4WD, not sure what yours is).

That's odd they don't have a TRD option for you, but none of that should matter for window rain deflectors. Weathertech only asks weather it's a regular, access, or double cab, so apparently the doors are the same. For any brand of rain guard window visors it shouldn't matter what you pick (Pre-Runner, X-Runner, or Base).

Your TRD suspension would be the same as a Pre-Runner though, not a Base model. Pre-Runner is going to be the same as your TRD truck but in 2WD (minus the 4x4). Base models will have different suspension and tires which is why they sit lower.

[IMG]Thanks guys. It is a 4x4, V6 Access cab. The windows in the back do not open so they don't need the guard, but I think it would look funny without them. I will try Weathertech.
