This might be a dumb one but i ordered an oem intake filter. Watch the replacement vid on youtube, super easy. My question is the guy was talking about oiling the air filter(it was k&n) . Are the oem intake filters just dry filters? Or do I need to “oil” it?

OEM are dry filters, you’re all good!

    Side note:
Be careful if you're ordering filters online. A lot of fake 'OEM' filters out there it seems. Probably not as big a deal for the engine air filter, but can be really harmful if it's the oil filter.
There's a great video(s) on YouTube ... 'The Car Care Nut' where he shows you what to look for as to spotting real OEM stuff from the counterfeit stuff.
    Cheers!

Standard OEM air filters don't need anything special, just swap them in and dispose of once used up. The OEM TRD Engine air filter is reusable and does require oiling like a K&N filter would, but that one is bright red and says TRD in the side so it'd be pretty obvious if you have one of those.
