I have a can of engine degreaser here that I was going to use in conjunction with an engine wash at a car wash bay. I'll check into what Carquest has tomorrow. We only have Carquest and Napa on the island and I work part time at CQ so...I'll be at work tomorrow.

Read the manual num-nut, that's why they give you one. Especially the section called maintenance.

I'd probably change the belt and clean all the pulleys with brake cleaner while the belt is off. Then you have brand new belt and know everything is okay. No goofing around trying to clean the belt and getting nowhere. Then just call it a lesson learned and go on with life. I doubt you hurt the ac compressor. Others may chime in that know more than me, but I think a bit of brake cleaner would clean up any oil that may have gotten into the ac clutch.

I attached a hose with a hose clamp on the drain fitting under the catch basin and ran it down through a hole in the skid plate. When it's done draining into a pan I just put a plug in the end of the hose. The hose is a permanent part of the truck now.

At least it's not like the 4 bangers, I seem to melt my arm on the exhaust every time I change my oil.

I'm thinking he will probably have to do this too. If it was synthetic oil it's going to be impossible to remove. I like the permanent hose idea too. That's the way to do it correctly. No dicking around. Better than the original.

Im not a big fan of the set up either, My first oil change I ran the hose all the way down to the drain pan after doing some searches here. Well not knowing the outlet was clogged from stuff from past oil changes it never drained and still had a mess on my hands.

However, I have now learned to clean drain, prior to taking that filter off.

The reason why the filter is that way on in the first place is for winter. Over night the oil slowly drains out. Down into the oil pan where it needs to be. It's mounted on top of the heat exchanger. When you start it up the next day the filter is ice cold and there is no way it is going to filter anything. It does not take long to heat up with the heat exchanger and then it's ready to filter. Try doing that is it was the other way filled to the brim with -40 below oil. Not going to happen for a really long time. A draining filter is what you want where it gets cold out.

Spray some simple green liberally on the AC pump & hose it off. If it still squeaks, it's something else.

And Toyota's design is excellent. It's super easy to get to & easy to change.

There was no squeak before so I'm pretty sure thats what it is...and I'm sure it is excellent, it just wasn't excellent as oil was leaking onto my belt and shit. lol

You might want to change the thread title now that you know what you were supposed to do.

Then again, there are enough other legitimate things to bitch about with these trucks that the name still probably fits.
