I'm actually gonna have to try it...

Here's a real life example for everyone on our wolf problem here where I live. I have an area just behind my house (probably 20 square miles or so) that I have been hunting my entire life. Over the course of the last 3-4 years, as the wolves began finding their way from Yellowstone to other parts of the states, our elk herds significantly decreased... On a yearly basis, our FWP takes a census of the elk herds in different areas of the state. In 2004, there were over 1,300 elk just behind my house! This last year's census (2008) showed just over 200 elk in the same area! We have not had any outbreaks of disease in quite some time now, therefore I see a problem. I can only come to one conclusion, the wolves are thinning out these herds faster than we ever could! Another idea is that the wolves are just driving the elk out of this area, but the numbers in other sections do not justify this change, as they are decreasing as well. I would strongly urge these Congressmen who consider themselves "Outdoorsmen", to step off of the private lands and try to hunt some public land for now on. I wish them luck. :END RANT

Wolves are known to prey on the weak, so the herd could benefit as a result if they open the season on wolves somehow we could put this all into consideration and peace and harmony would transpire.. But... That is the problem the Greenies are fighting to stop all hunting of wolves. There is a God Damn reason they are were almost extinct, our forefathers killed all dem bastages, cause they killed every fuggen thing!! We're having problems in the Northwoods of WI and the UP of MI as well.

We don't exactly need that right now it's open season, buy a tag at the walmart, shoot the shit when you see it, take a picture and send it to the news, become a hero.

It's pretty bad, I will not go archery hunting anywhere near where I live without a handgun due to those things and grizzlies. And the problem with them, is it's not one it's 10 to 12, and I only have six shots.

And to believe the Canadiens and Alaskans laughed when NPS asked for wolves! Why would we want them, those damn hippie enviro californians that don't actually have to deal with them did.

When I started this thread, I figured I would get crucified from the very getgo... What I have come to realize is that everyone who has to deal with them hates the sons-of-em-a-bitches and everyone who doesn't is in love with them! It's such a joke. Went on a wolf hunt this weekend, two of our guys got one, I never saw a thing. Guy I know shot one that was 220 Lbs! Biggest damn thing I have ever seen. I will post the picture on here if I can figure out how to pull it out of my phone... Also, I'm glad to see that there's some other Tacoma life up North, especially here in good ol Montana! :yay:

Yeah. I haven't bought a tag due to the fact I have no clue what the hell to do with it, other than take it to the taxidermist, and even then I don't think I'd want it. But if I had a tag and I saw one, I'd definitely let a few fly, just like every time I see a coyote.

Dam I wished I lived in a place where there was wolves, elk, deer, bobcats, jackrabbits and 20 square miles out back. I hate the city. Just capture some of them wolves and ship them here, I'll make sure they get let loose is a well-deserving neighborhood.

Kind of bringing up a dead thread, but I found these and forgot to post them.
This is on the Big Hole, 22 wolves in one pack about 2 miles from the Cabin and Squaw Creek. Late February, 2010.
Great news, the Montana Fish and Game won't have to feed elk this year, probably can't even find an elk in the valley, they will be scattered everywhere alive and dead. I wonder how many elk and moose a week it takes to keep this bunch going?

Go wolves!!!! We dont need to shoot Elk and shit for game or food anyways!!!! Unless your poor and starving. I say let nature take its damn course...
Although I did read that they are getting out of hand, and are allowing shooting of wolves in some county's if there on your property threatenning livestock. They should try and keep the population of wolves to a minimum in the US.
