Hey guys truck has been parked for a couple of weeks, ran fine before it was parked. Now I noticed it has almost a stutter/dead spot in the throttle. Take off in first, it is very sluggish shift to 2nd and so on when you accelerate after each shift it jerks around. Almost like the throttle has a dead spot. Acts like there is no power on the bottom end, once you get up into the rpms and drive it like you stole it she runs great.

I did change the air filter and I re checked all that, cleaned the maf. Only other thing I can think of is I did the front brakes. I read some where that Toyota did some weird mumbo jumbo that if the brake is applied at all the ecm cuts power? Or maybe time for plugs (20k on them)?

No cel which is a pain but something is defiantly not right.

I cleaned it out too, no change. I am going to toss a set of plugs in it and see how that does.

Update, fixed. I replaced the plugs no change, then cleaned the throttle body again. When I was installing the filter housing I just happened to see a vac line that wasn’t attached. I assume that when I changed the air filter I some how knocked it off and didn’t see it when inspecting or dousing everything with brake clean checking for leaks. Dumb mistake but good to go!
