They can't squeak any worse than my stock with AALs were.

Sadly I don't have a build thread. I'm too lazy to start one now.lol. I got the new rims coming in today and the 35s getting installed Friday. Just have to finish my trimming on the back end.

Gonna be so sick! Was hoping to hang at KOH, but if I were you, I'd be way to excited about putting the 35s on! Drop some pics in the WA thread when you get it done.

I wish I recorded how bad my squeaking was. If I just bumped up against the side of my bed... SQUEEK. I know Dakars are known for squeaking, but I think it's an issue that's between the leafs that can be fixed. My issue was my stock bushings. Seemed like nothing worked to stop it except for getting them wet, temporarily. At least with the Dakars, my hope is I can put pads, zip ties, or something between the leafs to eliminate or reduce.

Yeah my leafs squeek bad sometimes. But then I hit em with the pressure washer and it goes away for a bit. I always got the music cranked up so it's not so bad. They perform well and hold weight so I don't regret it at all. There a couple threads for how to eliminate it by zip ties or pads as you mentioned.

Yep, did quite a bit of reading before I bought them. Known issue, but there are options. I'll probably do the Zip Tie method

LOL, you have 'different' noises. I don't think your links squeak. Your cage, however, that's a different story. That said, your rig is insane!

Smittybilt x20 with synthetic rope. Got it on Amazon but 4 wheel parts also has em on the shelf for the same price. I did a little write up on em for Greg. Let me find that post for ya so I dont have to retype it all.

That's it. You can also get the same with steel cable for a little cheaper. I preferred syn rope.

Def going with the syn rope. Do you think the 10K is overkill?

I don't think so.10k is pretty popular on here so thats why i went with it.There is also a 9.5k winch from smittybilt but I noticed it had a different waterproof rating. Check the link below for description of waterproof rating. The 9.5k is IP67 and the 10k winch is IP68. I like the best stuff I can get so I went with the 10k
