Just thought I would share my setup. This is on an 06 access cab and I didn't feel like spending hundreds on some specially made box that takes up a rear storage compartment or worse the console, and kept it low financially.

    Pioneer mvh-1400
    Alpine PDX-V9 amplifier 4x100w + 500w mono
Alpine SPS series 6.5 and 6x9s
    12" Memphis BRX Dual 4 ohm 400w RMS-800w max

Total of about $1000 excluding additional hardware (dash trim, wire, connectors, etc. ) The installation can be DIY and I have to emphasize this could have easily been a few grand. These are solid products at good price.

Installed the amp under the drivers seat and ran most of the wiring under the door sill panel. I ran the subwoofer wiring under the storage compartment and comes out near the driver side rear door. Too much buzzing with the subwoofer so I removed the back paneling. Enclosure secured with a strap hooked to the child seat mounts but could be more secure with proper brackets attached to the enclosure itself. Not done with the sound deadening yet didn't get enough.. but just that much has made a huge difference and don't hear the exhaust nearly as bad. Plan to put some type of heavy carpet over as well.

This system sounds great, better than any I have ever had. Maybe because this is a truck cab and others were in sedans with the sub in the trunk but these 4 channel + 1 mono are really something. Ive had mtx, memphis mojo, alpine power packs, and this is the best by far. It mixes all the sounds in one and amplifies. Two birds, one stone. Could add another sub on the other side if you wanted but I prefer the storage space especially for long trips. With this head unit you could also add idatalink software which tells you your transmission temperature and other important info.
