Sub goes out at a loud volume

No worries just remember it's a lot harder to do damage to anything by running it at a higher ohm load IE 8ohm instead of 2ohm. The worst that usually happens is it's not as loud as you want because your running at half power most the time. You can still hurt subs by running them too loud with too little power buts it's a lot harder than running to much power.

the rockford p3001 is a great budget amp good power, reliable and sounds good.

 

We have come to a conclusion! Thank you for everyone's help though. I picked up a 1000W 2-channel pioneer amp and have it bridged. It seems to be holding of very well, no clipping, no blown fuses, etc etc.

glad you got it fixed. did you get the amp from a friend or something? just wondering why you didn't go with a mono channel sub amp?

 

Nope. Too good of deal at Wally World! I got a 2 channel because im considering getting a second sub in the near future
