looking to fab an enclosure for a JL 8W7.Will need to fit behind seats in footwell.Trying to conserve as much seating space as possible.any ideas?

Also as a side note, looking to fab an extra set of 3-3.5” door speaker grills for the front. Installing a set of Focal 3 ways and need a place for the extra mid driver. Going to install under factory tweeter location in the fabric.

Even though this is 9 years old i have a question. I am going to place a single channel amp for my shallow mount sub that should in theory fit under my driver seat, if i measured correctly. I was thinking about putting the amp under the passenger seat because i'm only ever going to have one sub. Any ideas on the best way to mount the amp let me know :) . I have room to put it behind the seats in the back of the double cab if needed.

That's pretty ambitious getting a 3" driver where the stock tweeter lives. I barely got a 1" silk dome tweeter back there.

As far as amp mounting goes, cutting boards work well. I like thick ones for making baffles, but thin ones for mounting amps - gives you more clearance between seat parts and the equipment

Mark out your free space with tape before removing the seat so you know where you can work

Watch for the remote seat latch on the right side - it's hanging down an inch or so. The board can go under the carpet as well - what I did on the passenger side. FWIW the passenger side is much easier to work with - weighs maybe half what the driver's side does and is much easier to get in & out. There's a little more space under the driver's side, but if you're working with a smaller amp like the MRX above you'll be fine either way.

ok ill try the cutting board, or something similar. Thanks for the input. I know the amp will fit, but after holding my sub in person it got me a little worried :(. But i did measure and today will try and fit it in! ill add pictures when i'm done.

The sub is an infinity ref1000s shallow mount. if anyone has any tips on how to put it under the driver seat i will take them because it is a tight squeeze down there,
