Let's hear how your boxes are placed! I know their isn't much room in a Tacoma, but I have a 2 12" subs in my backseat. First I had them placed toward the front of the truck, like the face of them. Then I turned the face of them around facing the bed and it seems like they hit harder. What do you guys think?

Base is non directional sound. Air space has a huge part in how "hard" they hit. Also you will notice that rolling down the windows allows it to "hit harder" because of air space. I have mine facing forward, not sure how i like my subs pounding on the back panel.

Is ext cab trucks I have found that sub up port up or sub forward port up is best. Some have luck with sub up port firing to the side

Tacoma are really limited in what you can do with them unless you do something big. Generally, decide what the maximum effort is your willing to put in and x 2. Then once you have done that, figure out what your willing to sacrifice ( i.e how much space, seat mods, panel mods etc )

When its all said and done with a double cab that has rear seats unrestricted you have 1 option. Subs behind the seat facing forward. You can seal or port it, really won't matter much.
