That is correct, figured so just wanted to sanity check. Look forward to it, currently putting in a set of -3 cam gears and I'm getting the OTT tune done next week. Thanks! (today is my birthday ironically)

Wanted to add some clarification on a couple of things quick.

The Y comes standard with 2 ports in each runner. Extra ports are only needed for running a wide band.

We will not be doing a port in the merge as we were advised a few inches back is ideal it get a more accurate reading. Thus in the mid pipe. Or in the exhaust you build!

As always. Feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns you may have before ordering! Here or IG doesn’t matter. I’m here to help in any way I can!

Right. So 2 port standard. But Just leave the two extra ports that I ordered for future mods

I’m almost ready to order, as soon as I get through some things first.
One quick question, I’d like to do 3” all the way back. Can anyone recommend a good 3” system that doesn’t drone? All I’m seeing is URD’s Mk4. Does anyone own a Mk4 exhaust? I’d love to hear some real world experiences.

I have no first hand experience on the MK4. However I will say, much of the drone occurs at the collector. My personal truck is 3” straight through with a small resonator and small muffler. Rowdy as hell under acceleration but zero drone at cruising speed.

I'm doing 3" back all the way as well since I just supercharged my truck. I went ahead and purchased a Borla Pro xs muffler and tip and will have an exhaust shop run a 3" tailpipe. Could be an option.

Everyone that has ordered so far should have tracking numbers by end of next week! I will keep things up to date more as we begin packaging and shipping!

Thanks for all of the support! And stay tuned 3rd gen guys! Our prototype truck arrives at the shop today!

Currently I’ve got DT headers and a URD y-pipe going into an ultraquiet resonator and then the factory x-runner cat-back muffler/tailpipe. Before I put in the resonator, it sounded like a can of rocks. It really sounded terrible and I was quite surprised given that it was an original restrictive muffler. The resonator worked wonders and quieted it right down.

It definitely is an an option and thanks for responding. I know of one exhaust shop in the area but all he uses is mild steel tubing, and I definitely want stainless. I’ll give it more thought. If anyone else has any ideas of what can be put together I’m all ears. I can always have something welded up locally.

Yeah, I had this dilemma too so I'm going to drive to a shop an hour and a half away to do stainless.

Go 2.5” mid for now and wait for the release of the y-back. Unfortunately do not have that timeline yet. But it is an option.

I believe Billy is also Boosted and would likely want to consider 3" over the 2" mid in his application.

Correct. However we plan to develop both 2.5 and 3” systems fully tailored to what you want for sound. This is something that’s headed into development immediately after the 3rd gen Y hits production.

Yes, thanks for noticing :) Right now with a 2.5 stealth pulley and planning a bunch of further upgrades. At this time I’m definitely not ruling out a changeable hub with smaller pulley. Thus the supporting mods of a free flowing 3” exhaust.

Wow, that’s great news! Luckily for me my truck isn’t a daily driver so most likely I’ll buy a 3” mid pipe, unless you’re thinking development is way off?

I don’t think it’s more than a couple of months out honestly. Obviously there are always unexpected challenges etc. But now that the website etc is all finalized, things should be much smoother going from here.

For anyone who has ordered a y pipe, could you make a video doing a before and after sound test when you get it installed? I'm really curious to see the difference

You could even ask the creator for said video’s! Everyone needs to realize, “sound” isn’t really what is being chased here. And sound is going to vary so wildly from each vehicle depending on what the rest of your exhaust is.

Hopefully I’m not coming off as rude or disrespectful. But it’s just not something you can compare unless you have identical setups. My truck, rowdy as hell. 3” straight through. Wife’s truck, about as tame as stock with the TRD catback with a hair more growl.

Another order of collectors just as big arriving next week. With everything we’ve been doing the last week we’re very optimistic all current orders will be fulfilled and we will even have a few Y’s built and ready by end of next week!

Provided I have a few on hand ready to go I will get the 3rd gen knocked out and the jig ready.

I went ahead and started prepping to install the new pipe. Wire wheeled down some rust and will spray on some pb blaster. @906taco will the new pipe come with hardware as well?
