Ordering mine soon, going with 2.5” mid-pipe (for now) with a wide-band port. Although I’d really like a 3” for my FI taco if only there was a good 3” cat-back system I could bolt it up to (hint hint!)
Ps: @906taco , I hope things are going as best as they can on your end :amen:

Fwiw, I'd probably wait for @906taco to produce a true 3" system. Cory and I discussed that there's a difference on the ball flange aka bell mouth end.. it basically steps down to fit the 2.5 donut gasket. Will be modding my exhaust to fit the 3" intermediate pipe

Thanks for your reply. I had looked into URD’s 3” system, and like you said it steps down at the flange to bolt up to stock 2 1/2” size.
I had spoken to Cory about it, and he suggested I buy the 2 1/5” mid-pipe for now to bolt up to what I have, and at a later date move to a 3” mid-pipe when he’s ready to offer a 3” system.

Happy to see what’s going on here. I know of one other that had an issue now. Which is weird because there’s more than a few 3” mids out in the wild! This is why I want people to post any issues that may arise! I want to produce the best product money can buy.

If you would like I would be more than happy to exchange for a 2.5” mid. I do have a few on the shelf. Totally your call!

Hope everybody is doing well and I really can’t wait for life to smooth out a hair so we can really make things happen!

Agreed and you're on the right path! Thanks for taking it in and offering a solution. I just wanted to give people a visual to match with what the OEM flanges offers and why it'll be important to either go with a quality kit from you or plan to modify. Unfortunately, I think it's just an "us" problem that decided on the 3". Located 3" bell mouth flanges, just got to see if I have any 3" pipe to weld to my muffler at this point.

The mark4 looks true 3" as advertised. But the stepdown is from the y-pipe/intermediate pipe. If what the listing is true that it fits the OEM flanges, then it was made for the 2.5" donut gasket. I think on their previous system, mark 3, the piping and flanges were solely for the y pipe mated to exhaust as full Y-to-catback. Maybe and a big maybe is the bell mouth flange on an aftermarket is wide enough that it accommodates a true 3 exit on the Y.

I have a 3rd gen with the AWE cat-back. Would be it possible to make a Y-pipe that mates to this cat-back? The AWE eliminates the lower portion of the factory Y-pipe (AWE uses an H-pipe to create a true dual exhaust)

Probably would be more tricky because the awe bolts up literally right behind the cats where all other cat backs bolt up behind the y pipe intersection. Maybe check out this guys true dual equal length setup https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/3rd-gen-true-dual-exhaust-build.686707/

Hey guys. Sorry for the hiatus.

My mother in law lost her cancer battle this past Monday. Not so great period of time especially right before the holidays and a day before my wife’s birthday. But we’re doing alright, everything considered. Tomorrow we both intend on stepping back into daily life for the first time in over a month.

With all of this said, I want to let everyone know we are putting everything back on track. Tomorrow, orders will be placed to build the first prototype exhausts for both 2nd and 3rd gen trucks in 2.5” and 3”. The plan is to release all of it, including the 3rd gen y (finally) all at once.

Again, thank you for all of the support and understanding during this difficult time. I hope everybody has an amazing holiday!

    Stay tuned!

Again, I am very sorry for your loss. I understand that you must move forward, but be sure to continue to be there for your wife. Even if she is putting a brave face on. Sometimes we are not as strong as we try to convey.

Also, as I said before, let me know if I can ever help.

    Thanks guys!

We’re the type that gets through tough times by setting goals and reaching them. Her mom would be pissed if we kept putting our lives on hold as well. So we are going to respect that.

My wife has come to a conclusion that she wants to be a larger part of the business. Which I’m truly excited for. We’re a pretty epic couple when it comes to getting things done. And now it’s time to get things done.

Order is officially placed to build all 4 exhaust variants. Both 2nd and 3rd gen 3” prototypes will be available for sale once the jigs are built!

We are about to offer the ONLY true 3” exhaust for the Tacoma platform. And I’m stoked.

I’m crossing my fingers to be at or under 1k for all variants. But until we get things laid out it’s really tough to be sure. I will do my best to stay competitive to the current production exhausts on the market.

Everything will be all Vband connections. There will be a large resonator and a large muffler. All straight through design but should be a really tame setup for those with no converters.

For those that want something more on the wild side, I would be happy to work with you.
