Not to be self centered, but I’m just not ready to divulge that info yet. Had the better part of the day searching the interwebs and the shelves at a parts store to find something.

Also had to get some tags made with my logo.

These are going to be some very nice and well thought out pieces! I just hope I can offer them at a price that will please most!

+1 here, sign me up as well.
I've been waiting for a Y-pipe solution so I can finally install my Doug Thorley LTHs to let the SuperCharger BREATHE.

Same. I feel like all I hear under boost is back pressure.

I can actually feel it on the highway when trying to pass someone during a lane change, the truck just feels heavy.

I refuse to spend 2000$ on a full exhaust setup if it sounds like shit. I don't care how much power I make. V6s are hard to make sound good but Cory's piece I'm confident will help.

Just wanted to feed the masses with an update! All parts are now in hand to begin building the final revision along with mid pipe and the jigs.

I also spent some time yesterday measuring up a 3rd gen for the future, which by the way. That Y pipe needs some serious love and I feel will produce some very pronounced benefits.

The quality of these bits and pieces to make these, is simply unmatched.

I will be keeping the stock manifold/cats in case other options aren't available at that time.

I have had the only 3rd gen JFR equal length y-pipe for the last 5 years and I would not want to drive my truck anymore without it. I had to drive over 1200 miles to have John custom make it and it was worth every penny spent. For those of you who are not sure about this mod I would highly recommend that you go through with it. I will be selling it next year when I get a new 4th gen Tacoma and not a day before I get it. The review below is a copy and paste review I made on the JFR thread.

As I said before this person's truck is 2wd so we could make the "traditional" equal length shape and still have it meet optimum tuned length requirements since there is no transfer case.
In this pic there is one weld on the merge to finish it.
The drivers side the funky rise in it to get the tube back above the crossmember while keeping the original bungs.
It may be hard to see in this pic but the 3rd gen auto trannys have a trans fluid heater/thermostat unit attached to it that will interfere with my standard equal length design on 3rd gens.

My quote is below. The above came from John’s quote.

Thanks for all of your hard work. I am now on my fourth y pipe since I bought my truck new 3 and 1/2 years ago. I went from the OEM to the URD Mk1 to the URD Mk 2 and finally to the JFR version. After driving almost 1100 miles in the last day my evaluation is as follows:

    Performance:

Driving through Oklahoma I had to stop at 6 toll booths which gave me a chance to do 6 wot pulls. I have the OV 93 octane performance tune which has a 6800 rpm red line and I made use of that feature repeatedly. It is very clear that there is an increase in power in the middle rpm range of 2000 to 4000. After that it seems to me that there was no change in power. This is actually good because the URD pipe only gave me an improvement in the upper rpm range.

    Sound:

This was my greatest surprise. After starting it up for the first time I got out and walked around the back of the truck and didn’t hear anything. I have the TRD Pro cat back and always heard a low rumble on start up before but now it is so quiet that I had to walk back to see if it was still running. Reving it up gives a very pleasant sound that I have not been able to find a word to describe it yet.

    Mileage:

My first tank of gas only gave me 23 mpg which is below average for me. We reset the ECU so I knew that it would take a while to go through the learning process. My second tank gave me 26 mpg which is more like my average going 75 mph on the road. My third tank was a little higher than that but some of the driving was only at 55 mph on a detour around Chicago. I have done some aerodynamic mods such as a belly pan which helps a lot.

    Negatives:

The only negative experience I had was the most devious and visceral mosquitos that I have ever encountered. LOL I had 15 mosquito bites on my left arm and 7 bites on my right arm. I wised up a little by wearing a long sleeve shirt on the second day. I don’t know why I had so many more bites on my left arm but they really appreciated my sweet Florida flesh.
Also my body is still a little sore from getting under that truck around a hundred times.

    Summary:

After waiting almost a year and driving over 1200 miles from Florida it was absolutely worth it in every way. I would like to thank Roost for his attention to detail. He is a great person who also has a lot of stories of his time in the military. He worked on the same engines that powered the aircraft that I flew in the Navy. I would also like to thank his sweet wife for being so nice to allow a stranger to sleep on her couch.

That’s some good stuff! I’m excited to dive in. I know the price isn’t going to compare with URD etc. but neither will the quality or performance. It’s going to be above on all aspects.

That mid range power is what I notice the very most with mine as well. Being a manual with 37’s heavy bead locks and 4.88’s I was always finding myself down shifting to 5th for those long slow climbs. I can actually gain speed on those same climbs in 6th now. I believe this is where my gain in fuel economy comes from.

I wish I had the luxury of a Dyno at my disposal to see just how much the gain was. But hopefully I can find a few willing to get those numbers for me!
