Just a question for those that have posted. How many of you have practiced drawing from concealment and how often? How about while seated in a vehicle?

I do it whenever we're at the range which depends on the weather and busy schedules. Sometimes I will practice at home with snap caps. That's not nearly enough practice... (As a self defense expert would say). Reality & Life dictates how much practice I get. Which isn't much.

I've never practiced from the vehicle. I use a Remora on my appendix and it would be nearly impossible to draw that quickly. I sometimes have it in my center console. Being attacked while in the truck isn't something I've thought about in my travels. And perhaps I'd just stomp on the gas and pray!!

And you would be correct. A 2,500LBS bullet will win every time. Only problem is when you are blocked in, no way to get out.

I used to carry all fucked up, with a soft holster, no extra mag, no light and no clue. I took a few classes where all of my preconcieved notions were put to the test. I found gaping holes in what I thought I knew versus what actually was. Everyone on here should test their preferred manner of carry up to a particular standard and see where they fall. I think it would be a wake up call for many. An example of standards may be found here http://www.kyledefoor.com/2012/02/defoor-shooting-tests.html scroll down for the handgun part or do rifle as well if that's your perogitive. If you can't attain a reasonable result and abilities from these tests. You may want to re-evaluate what you carry, how you carry, who taught you and what gear/guns best suit YOUR needs.
